Biography
Dave Meger, a Chicago Board of Trade member, is the Managing Director
of Alaron Metals Services, a full service wholesale precious metals
dealer offering market timing advice for purchases and sales of
precious metal. Mr. Meger is also the Director of Metals Trading
at Alaron Futures and Options, a clearing Futures Commission Merchant
(FCM) of The Chicago Mercantile Exchange, One Chicago and The
Chicago Board of Trade and a member firm of Merchants’ Exchange
and NQLX. Mr. Meger holds a BA in Economics, is Series 3 licensed,
and has received his Financial Planner Certification from Florida
State University. Mr. Meger has taught Series 3 classes including
concepts on hedging theory, derivatives trading, and all aspects
of risk management. Over the years, Mr. Meger has cultivated relationships
with floor traders, physical market dealers, representatives of
mining companies, and news services for the purpose of accessing
quality accurate information for his clients. Mr. Meger has made
guest appearances on CNBC, CNNfn, "Nightly Business Report",
Bloomberg TV, and WBBM New Radio. His opinions are frequently
